Mid Century Modern Mort N. Marton Cork Ice Bucket
Vintage 1963 Mid-Century Cork Ice Bucket by Mort N. Marton Designs
Mid-Century Modern enthusiasts, here’s a true gem: a vintage cork ice bucket designed by Mort N. Marton (of Mort N. Marton Designs, New York) circa 1963. This sculptural piece is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and won a Silver Medal at the 13th Triennale di Milano.
Crafted from solid natural Portuguese cork (as noted on the original label), it features a deep carved-out well that holds the included removable white milk glass liner perfectly for keeping ice chilled without condensation. The cube shape with organic texture makes it a standout bar statement piece—perfect for retro cocktail hours, hosting, or as display art.
