VINTAGE SCANDINAVIAN POUL HUNDEVAD DANISH MODERN EXPANDING ROLLING BAR CART FOR VAMDRUP
Designed by Poul Hundevad, for Vamdrup. It was constructed with the greatest craftsmanship, it features 4 rolling casters and an expanding top for great functionality. The two-tier design was ingenious, allowing you to extend to a top-server when in full use by simply placing the lower tray, along side the top tray, by sliding is over and locking the lower tray right beside it.
This cart was acquired from the original owners who purchased it new in the 60’s while they were stationed in Europe.This will pair nicely with the teak table that was originally purchased with this cart and is also available for purchase on our site. Overall in great vintage condition with signs of slight wear consistent with age and use. An absolutely stunning piece brilliantly designed and constructed with quality craftsmanship.The construction is very solid and the workmanship displays beautifully throughout the teak veneered mitered trays. The spline joints are visibly exposed with the solid wood frame. The cart still sports the original rubber swiveling casters and function nicely however, there are a couple casters that will drop out easily if the cart is lifted off the floor. This does not detract from the functionality of the cart.
The original Poul Hundevad Vamdrup, danish furniture makers control foil label is still attached on the underside of one tray.
