Iconic Mid Century Dresser Designed by Lawrence Peabody
This item has SOLD!
This gorgeous Dresser was designed by Lawrence Peabody for the Sheboygan, WI. based manufacturing company. I knew restoring this piece would be a challenge and yet so rewarding. It was all that and more! It simply couldn’t look any better, this is absolutely stunning! I’ve poured a large part of myself into bringing life back into this piece. My goal was perfecting the color tone and giving it a pristine finishing touch that would last for several more decades to come.
It’s constructed of white oak, this features four drawers, (one is a cedar drawer for sweaters) and has one shelf. This particular design is uncommon. Lawrence Peabody designed several very similar in style, this particular piece has a cedar drawer behind the caned door, when you commonly see just a shelf.
The smaller size of this piece is great for less than standard wall space. This style provides a bit more depth than some dressers. The sculpted wood pulls are a solid wood that is inset, the drawers are in excellent condition, they glide with ease. The construction of this dresser shows some of the best craftsmanship that I’ve seen in a long time!
