Stanley Young For Glenn Of California Mid Century Desk
This iconic early circa 1950’s modernist design is from designer Stanley Young, for Glenn of California. The drawers feature bentwood walnut pulls with steel hardware that accent the overall design. This piece is a true showstopper! This timeless style will easily blend with any decor or furniture design. And what really adds to this piece is the fact that we are also offering a matching gentleman’s chest (see stock photo). This collection was designed beautifully to combine pieces per one’s individual need.
The functionality of this desk is ideal, the back is also finished in walnut which allows this to be placed in an open floor plan. The desk features a total of 4 drawers and yet, the design is small enough to allow it to be used in a small living space. This will function nicely in any office, foyer, living room, dining room or bedroom. You can use it alone or with other pieces.
The desks’ structure is solid. This is constructed with the finest materials and finished with walnut inlay, the drawers are dovetailed and glide with ease. The desks top surface has been preserved over the years with a piece of glass and will be included with the purchase.

Condition
Very good, this is all original, you can expect age appropriate wear due to minor use. No excessive damage, (see all photos) no breaks. 2 metal leg brackets did show wear and were replaced with identical hardware. This has been cleaned and condition with wax, this is ready for immediate use.
